The Ventura County Branch of AAUW was founded October 30, 1916 five years before the State of California was chartered.   Our growing membership includes young working women, mothers and retirees. Usually our general meetings are held the second Saturday of all except the summer months.

We support the Educational Foundation which awards scholarships, fellowships and grants to both American and foreign women as well as the Legal Advocacy Fund which contributes to the legal fees of girls and women who have experienced sexual discrimination. Each year we work with the other branches in the county to sponsor the math, science, technology program called Brighter Horizons.
